Vice President of Marketing
The Vice President of Marketing is the creative genius leading all social media communications with all stakeholders of the MIBA organization. The VP of Marketing is responsible for maintaining, improving and promoting the MIBA brand to the UTSC community and the organization’s internal and external sponsors.
They will work with a team of directors and associates of Graphic and Content Designers, and Social Media experts, and provide strategic direction on creating the promotional content for the organization. Additionally, they will be involved in crafting and monitoring the website and MIBA’s status on social media.
The successful candidate should possess;
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize.
- Refined and tested organizational abilities.
- Polished communication skills and confidence to speak to peers, the Department of Management and externals.
- Passion for advertising and content creation with a good understanding of design principles.
- Experience with social media management and graphic design, particularly, use of the Adobe Suite.
VICE PRESIDENT OF Events
The Vice President of Events will be responsible for the successful planning and execution of MIBA’s academic and professional events. Some of the highlights of the past years are the MIB First-Year Orientation, Cultural Week and EMPOWER. The position offers great autonomy and allows the successful candidate the opportunity to develop programs that add value to the UTSC community and advance MIBA’s mission.
As the Vice President of Events, you will lead a team of directors and associates to develop, plan and implement events. You will also work closely with other departments within MIBA, such as External Relations for sponsorships and representatives and Marketing for effective communication.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE SHOULD;
- Be creative/ingenious in planning and organizing events.
- Have excellent communication skills – confidence in communicating with external parties (suppliers, sponsors, etc.), students, the Department of Management.
- Possess excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Be able to effectively participate in and lead a team on intensive projects.
- Be particularly outgoing, with a positive attitude.
- Possess strong abilities in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Vice President of External Relations
The position of Vice President of External Relations provides an excellent opportunity to lead all communications with international employers, sponsors, students across all years, alumni, and staff from the Department of Management. The team of External Relations will include the Director of External Relations, Staff and Alumni Director, and Student Relations Director.
With a wide variety of roles, the Vice President of External Relations will be responsible reaching out to employers from all over the world, bringing in potential networkers for MIBA’s events, maintaining crucial alumni and staff relations, improving the support system for students wishing to study and work abroad, and bringing all years of MIB together at socials.
Experience in student development is considered an asset.

Vice President of Business Operations
The Vice President of Business Operations works alongside a team of directors and associates to develop strategies that help MIBA become more effective and efficient in providing resources to the Management community. The role oversees two areas of the organization – Finance and Human Resources
The Vice President will lead the Finance team in seeking and securing funding opportunities through the Department of Management, MESA, SCSU, DSL. They will also be in charge of processing reimbursements, securing funding and managing the operating budget of MIBA. Meanwhile, you are also the key person in creating a culture within the club as you are also in charge of the Human Resources department, which run internal socials and team bonding activities. Furthermore, the Vice President of Operations will assist other departments in event planning and execution, increasing event interest and attendance and adapting to future changes and challenges.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE SHOULD POSSESS;
- A solid understanding of financial and accounting principles.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize.
- An innovative mindset and eye for spotting possibilities for improvement.
- Refined and tested organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Polished communication skills towards peers, the department and externals.
- Strong abilities in MS Excel and other database software knowledge is considered an asset.
- Good understanding of system development and data management frameworks.
- A high degree of personal integrity and accountability.
- Eagerness in learning and educating the MIBA team in new programs.
Vice President of Research & Development
The Vice President of Research and Development is responsible for the smooth execution of 3 projects that require extensive research and development.

- A helpful Study and Work abroad guide with tips and tricks for various countries
The Data Management aspect of the role calls on overseeing data management of internal and external resources of the organization. The Vice President of Research and Development will aid in collecting and organizing resources related to international exchange students. Additionally, you will lead a team of directors to plan, research and write study and work abroad guides for various countries.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE SHOULD POSSESS;
- A passion for content creation, especially about international study and work abroad in different countries.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to take initiative for tasks and delegate appropriately.
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize.
- Polished communication skills towards peers, the department and externals as MIBA promotes an open communication system and fluid roles throughout departments to encourage collaboration
- Refined and tested organizational abilities.
- An analytical mindset to create databases and draw the right conclusions from data, both primary and secondary.
